Tour the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross in DeLand

Our brand's latest compact crossover SUV might slate between the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and its larger sibling, Mitsubishi Outlander, but it's no middle of the road when it comes to features. In fact, when it comes to getting around DeLand, it's got the looks to turn heads, the comfort to make the ride enjoyable, and the safety features to rein it all in.

First off, every Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross incorporates a host of passive elements for ride leveling, a confident grip on the road, and redundant drive-time protection, from traction control logic, active stability control, and hill start assist to a tire-pressure monitoring system, an advanced network of airbags, and LATCH child seat restraints. Of course, a hard-wearing RISE body construction helps here, too.

It's as early as the ES 1.5T base trim that distinctions start to appear. For one, a six-way-adjustable driver's seat, four-way front passengers seat adjustment, and auto climate control make it easy to customize your comfort level. Secondly, fog lights, LED daytime running lights and rear combination taillights, and an LED high-mount stop light cut through dim conditions, highlighting sleek accents like chrome side-window surrounds and a roof spoiler.

Graduate to LE 1.5T S-AWC, and you gain the all-weather capability of Super All-Wheel Control and the combo of fetching looks and utility afforded by black exterior mirrors with turn signal indication. Limited edition badging completes the aesthetic.

At the midrange is the SP 1.5T S-AWC trim, sporting a rear spoiler, sleek 18-inch alloy wheels in black, and the unmistakable accents of front and rear corner and side extensions and special edition badging. SE 1.5T S-AWC does one better, offering a chrome upper grille, silver front and rear bumper under-garnish, and giving way to a luxurious interior with high-grade cloth seating, heated in front, dual-zone auto climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Security advancements include auto on/off headlighting and an electronic parking brake with an auto hold feature.

Rise to SEL 1.5T S-AWC, and you get top-of-the-line amenities. Leather-appointed seating comes standard, as does eight-way power driver's seat adjustment, and a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats are available. LED headlights illuminate your path, while black roof rails cut quite the figure making room for extra essentials, and safety options range from auto high beams and forward collision mitigation to lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control optional.
